Epiphany

Today is the day that celebrates the arrival of the Magi to the Infant Jesus. The word means "to manifest, to show". This commemorates the manifestation of the Messiah to the gentiles.

What does it mean to us today? Jesus is not just the Promised Messiah to the Jews, but also to the gentiles. (Gentiles are simply anyone other than Jews) This means that Jesus is Savior for all who will accept Him. Everyone on earth. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life". (John 3:16)

If you don't know Jesus in a personal way, today is the day of your salvation! If you are interested, please go here for more information.

God bless you in 2009!

You do know that when you refer someone to the "how to get saved link" (or whatever you want to call it) that it meerly refers them to the church website - not the particular part of the website that has the plan of salvation. Also with those of us who have limited web access, all that shows up on the church website is the directory list down the left side of the screen - no pictures, etc. You might want to consider making a more direct link or something along those lines...

Well, I don't know what to say. I have checked and re-checked the link. It is supposed to take people to http://immanuelsouthern.com/do-you-know-jesus/. It shows up that way in two different browsers.

I'll see what I can do....
