Mid-Summer Deluge

According to four different sources this morning at church, we had right at 5 inches of rain in Wagoner in the storms that came through last night! It started storming at about 11:30 and stormed for a while, then again at 4-4:30 it stormed again. For as much lightning and thunder, you'd have thought it was a spring storm!

The 3 southernmost counties in FL have more lightning strikes than all the other zillion counties in the USA combined. So, we have sirens everywhere. When a siren sounds, head for cover. The one on our block is very accurate! Usually a bolt hits nearby within 30 seconds of a warning.

About the only warning we have in Alabama that lightning is about to strike is the flash of lightning as it happens!

Then again, we just got electricity last year...and indoor plumbing!

You know, Sweetie, it never did stop during the middle of the night - you just snored through it...

Love you
