The temperature reading on a car I entered today was 132 when we first started it!

Hubby works in the heat for the airline then goes to work on new construction doing electrical. I WORRY!

Rick, thestormentgirl...both of you should move to Alabama...we have only averaged 97 degrees the last five days...with major thunderstorms every night...bringing about 2 1/2 inches at a time...

Oh, the humidity comes in at about 95% each day too...

Ain't summer lovely...before long, we'll be complaining about it being too cold...

Becky,
I don't have a thermometer in my car, but the heat coming out when I opened my door was the same as what it is when I open the oven door to take out the cookies!

David,
Welcome! I'm glad you're here. Feel free to poke around and see my journey with God all around the world.

Steve,
Sorry, friend. I already lived in LA (the real one! ) You got that right, though; we'll be complaining of the cold in not too long.

My older teens are on the Illinois River today floating with the youth group and I'd say taking every opportunity to get WET. It's scorching!

I have family in Mississippi (NE corner right next to the Alabama line) and I will tell you it IS worse there!

That car temp I posted was when it was 99 outside, BTW.
