Huh?

'The Truth' by Painter Michael D'Antuono which will be unveiled on President Obama's 100th Day in Office at NYC's Union Square.

Uhhh, I don't think I get this...at all. Can someone explain? Is he supposed to represent Jesus? (crown of thorns, cross-like pose) If so, why?

This is a terribly disturbing image.

Let's just hope he rejects this. If not, then I would say (as they say about many athletes) he is reading too much of his own press (liberal press that is). I agree...this is very disturbing.

Is he parting the veil?

Apparently the public unveiling has been cancelled due to public outrage. At least that's something. It's a really bizarre painting. Yuck.

Apparently, the painter leaves it up to the viewer to decide if he is parting or closing the veil, being crucified or being glorified (according to the press release I read). Either way, it's disturbing.

A co worker had a pic of Pres. Bush somewhat like this with the seal in the background like a halo. I didn't care for it either.

I prefer my Messiah to be fully God as well as fully Man.
