He died back in 1975, some 34 years ago. I can't believe he's been gone that long. I was his first grandson; like me, he had only daughters. I'm told he brought me a baseball glove and bat when I was still in the hospital, just after I was born. I'm beginning to understand the sentiment.

I consider him to be among my "cloud of witnesses" and one day I'll see him again in Heaven, because he obtained the forgiveness of God by believing in and accepting Jesus has his Savior. I occasionally dream about my grandpa; not nearly often enough. I sure would like to go fishing with him, one more time...
