We are having a unique event at our church this week. It is a revival specifically for senior adults. It is an associational event and we happen to be hosting it.
I needed 6 guys to take up the offering, so, I selected six of my pastor buddies. They went down when they called for the ushers. At the end of the prayer, the pray-er told the congregation to be seated.
Half of the pastors sat down on the front row INSTEAD OF TAKING UP THE OFFERING!
I thought I was going to die laughing! They aren't used to being on this side of the pulpit and were dutifully obeying the request from the speaker.
What a hoot!
That's a fun "senior moment" and will have me smiling today. That one is tailor made for Reader's Digest!
