GUSTAV!!

That's right! We here in "land-locked" Oklahoma are going to experience a bit of "Gustav". It certainly won't be anything like what TX, LA, MS are experiencing, but then again, Wagoner is 500 miles inland!

We are under Flood Warnings already. The forecast calls for 4-8 inches of rain, and possibly more, depending on exactly how the northern front interacts with Gustav. There is a strong chance of strong winds, large hail, and even a "tornado outbreak". (We don't like to hear "tornado outbreak!")

Pray for those in the South adversely effected by Gustav.

  1. In 2 1/2 days, because of Tropical Storm Fay...we had 10 inches of rain...that's a lot of rain, no matter where you are...especially somewhere as flat as OK...

You'll be in our prayers my brother...if all else fails...grab your Barbie rod/reel...the fish will be biting!

I just wanted to say THIS part of Oklahoma is definitely NOT flat. : ) Get WEST of Oklahoma City a bit - in the plains and esp. the panhandle - and there you have FLAT land. LOL! You should visit, m.steve hartsill.

  3. Well, Stormentgirl, I have to say that I've never heard of most of those Summits!

    Steve,

Eastern Oklahoma is surely not flat. We don't necessarily have mountains, but we ain't flat. In fact, I think Oklahoma is home to the world's tallest hill, Cavanal Hill, in Poteau.
